Cycling for Chaffey was organized to raise funds to buy new seats for Chaffey's Gardiner W. Spring Auditorium.  A team of alumni will bicycle in the 2006 Race Across America to redeem pledges by community supporters.

Gardiner W. Spring Auditorium, built in 1939, continues to draw the Chaffey community together in celebration of the performing arts.  GWS enjoys a rich history of diverse performances by students and professional artists.  GWS currently hosts presentations by the outstanding Performing Arts Department at Chaffey High School, the Ontario/Chaffey Community Show Band under the leadership of Jack Mercer and Bill Blanchard, and programs from feeder schools in the Ontario-Montclair School District.

The Chaffey Alumni Association is continuing its long tradition of ensuring that this local treasure is preserved by sponsoring the fund drive.  The last drive and restoration occurred between 1984 and 1991 and produced outstanding results.  During the current drive, $270,000 of the $440,000 needed to replace the seats has already been donated or pledged.  Donate Now!

Team Cycling for Chaffey is devoting time and energy to bring this cause to the attention of the Chaffey community so that all may help to enhance and promote ongoing enjoyment of the arts in our grand and historic venue.
